How Does Education Influence Our Professional Life?

A good and high school leaving certificate is the basis for a successful professional life today. In this regard, a kind of pecking order has emerged. The A-level high school graduate can choose what he wants to study or what professional training he wants to do. A high school graduate with a lower grade can still study, just not everything, at least not without waiting. If he decides on vocational training, he has a wide choice. Someone who “only” has a secondary school leaving certificate cannot study at first. Not all apprenticeships are open to him, as many of them now require a high school diploma.

In the jobs that he could theoretically take on, he competes with high school graduates and will often lose out here. The options for secondary school students are very limited. From the outset, only a limited number of apprenticeships are possible for them. They also have to contend with the competition from high school students and high school graduates. The situation of the particular school students is pretty hopeless. They are at the bottom of this pecking order and can only rarely do an apprenticeship.

One can doubt whether all of this is so good and correct, but not change it. And what about the rest of your professional life? Someone who has learned a profession or study a subject or course like data science course in Bangalore that suits their interests will prefer to pursue the profession and be more successful than someone who has decided on an emergency solution. The unemployment statistics show that academics are less likely to be affected by long-term unemployment than skilled workers or artisans. Those who have no vocational training have very few opportunities on the job market today.

All of this shows that the basis for professional success is usually laid in school. There is indeed the option of completing secondary school, leaving qualifications, or studying without a high school diploma. But that is very time-consuming for the person concerned, and then he has the problem that he is much older than his competitors. In our working world that is trimmed for youth, there is no small drawback.

Do you have to have studied to earn a lot of money? There are many self-employed people, not just in the skilled trades, who earn significantly better than salaried academics.

Besides formal school and professional qualifications, it is essential today that you have learned how to learn. The professional environment is changing so quickly today that nobody can rest on what they have learned. Often you have to continue your education in the profession you have learned. In some cases, a complete reorientation is necessary because the profession, once learned, has been made superfluous by technical developments.
